Yanmar emphasizes market strength in Germany by major presence at SHK in Essen, Hall 3.0, Stand 3C14

Yanmar emphasizes its ambition to be the undisputed market leader in the micro cogeneration sector in Germany and the rest of Europe by its major presence on SHK in Essen. The Japanese leading supplier of innovative energy solutions shows its latest developments together with its German partner KKU Concept and three KKU dealers: KLK, Berndt Enersys and Eschenfelder KKU. On a floor space that is three times bigger than before, they will showcase the award-winning Gas Heat Pump with integrated heat exchanger, co-manufactured with KKU, and the neoTower® M+, the latest CHP unit (Combined Heat and Power), developed with Yanmar’s new German partner for micro cogeneration, RMB/Energie. In addition, a range of energy-saving hydroboxes, air-to-air and air-to-water systems will be displayed.

Full German coverage
  • With KKU Concept and its expert dealer network, Yanmar obtains full coverage of the German markets.
  • KKU Concept is Yanmar’s main German distributor for GHPs and specializes in the design and distribution of resource-efficient heating and cooling solutions. KKU headquarters covers Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

  • With more than 20 years of experience in cooling and heating systems, Eschenfelder KKU acts as KKU’s Sales Office in western Germany for YANMAR Gas Heat Pumps.

  • Berndt Enersys is a young, though experienced team and offers modern and efficient concepts for gas-generated heating and cooling. They have a long-standing business relationship with KKU Concept and act as the Sales Office for the southwest of Germany.

  • KLK Klima-Lüftung-Kälte GmbH is a specialized company for air conditioning, ventilation and industrial cooling systems with over 35 years of experience. They are KKU’s Sales Office in northern Germany.

Award-winning GHP, rewarded for innovation and climate protection

On show is Yanmar’s Gas Heat Pump, co-manufactured with KKU Concept. Yanmar’s gas motor-driven heat pump with integrated heat exchanger is the first compact unit in the world that can be used for simultaneous heating and cooling. The GHP received the German Gas Industry Award for Innovation & Climate Protection in 2014, issued by ASUE, the German Working Group for Efficient and Environmentally Friendly Energy Consumption. The jury awarded this project as an innovative and sustainable solution for efficient cooling and heat generation. The system is suitable in commercial and industrial applications.

neoTower® M+, powerhouse for high electricity and heat demand

Another novelty is neoTower® M+, the new Combined Heat and Power system that Yanmar developed in close co-operation with RMB/Energie, a German manufacturer of premium cogeneration systems. Yanmar and RMB have embedded Yanmar’s 3.3 liter 4GP98-S gas engine in the innovative construction components well-known to RMB/Energie’s product lines. neoTower® M+ is designed to meet the needs of large apartment buildings, medium to large commercial buildings and hotels. The system has been tested to be highly efficient: more than 96% of the primary energy to produce both heat and power is consumed, so there is hardly any energy loss. During their joint development, Yanmar and RMB decided to intensify their relationship. Yanmar acquired a majority stake in the German manufacturer. The association of the two companies is a mutual reinforcement to enter international markets with a new way of efficient energy utilization.
