YANMAR ENGINES AND SOLAR POWER SOLUTIONS AT MEE 2019

Almere, 17 January 2019. This year, YANMAR – world leading brand in industrial engines and energy solutions – will again be present at the Middle East Electricity (MEE) show in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 5-7 March 2019, with an exciting range of powerful engines. Visit the YANMAR Stand S1.F40 for the latest developments in high-performance and reliable engines powering energy solutions.

Engines on display

On display will be a number of variable speed vertical cylinder 4-stroke diesel engines, including the 3TNV88 water-cooled engine, up to 28kW, and the L100N (up to 7kW) air-cooled engine. In addition, the 2TNV70 water-cooled engine, with a maximum of 10kW, will complete the engine range on display. All engines are suitable for a wide range of industrial and generator applications.

Three highlights for the Middle-East and African region (MEA)

1.        YANMAR preferred engine supplier for light tower applications due to low total cost of ownership
2.        YANMAR engines main component for generating hybrid solar power for telecom towers in Nigeria
3.        Fast-growing service network and increased availability of Genuine Spare Parts in the Middle East region

Light tower applications

Light tower specialist Generac Mobile Products, a major player in the Middle East, equip their light tower installations with YANMAR engines. The engines used are 2TNV70 water-cooled engines at fixed and variable speeds and L70 and L100 air-cooled lightweight engines, on display at MEE. One of the advantages of air-cooled engines is that they are light and compact, reducing the total weight of the lighting tower and improving portability. A recently improved deep oil pan with larger filters increases maintenance intervals to 500 hours.

Emilio Tognetti, YANMAR's MEA Sales Manager, explains: "The main concern of our customers in the MEA region is to design a machine that runs longer with fewer component failures. The rock-solid reliability of our engines in the field is highly valued by all our customers. This, combined with the lowest fuel consumption in our power range, makes YANMAR a preferred engine supplier."

Hybrid solar power for telecom towers in Nigeria

For several years YANMAR has been the main supplier for various solar energy companies in Nigeria to provide telecom towers with hybrid solar energy solutions. The telecom application is a solar, eco-friendly solution that is used and thoroughly tested under extremely high temperatures. YANMAR engines have been selected because of their excellent fuel efficiency and low noise level. Moreover, it is an important advantage that the engines have a low total cost of ownership because of their reliability and long service life.

Full focus on service and Genuine Spare Parts for MEA region

The YANMAR dealer and partner network in the Middle East and Africa is growing fast. Products and solutions are becoming increasingly well-known because of their quality and competitive prices. In addition, the service support is constantly expanding and YANMAR Genuine Spare Parts are fully and quickly available from the European Spare department in The Netherlands. There is a strong commitment to provide first-class products and service to partners and end users throughout the MEA region.
