Recently the Yamaoka Scholarship Foundation held the final selection for youth scholarships on the grounds of the Yamaoka Hanasaka Academy in Thailand.

Since 2013, the Yamaoka Scholarship Foundation has supported the disadvantaged youth of Thailand with a scholarship to help them pursue their academic and sporting dreams. In 2016 in a further intensification of these efforts, the Yanmar Group established the Yanmar Hanasaka Academy as an NPO.

The Yamaoka Hanasaka Academy manages a dormitory in support of the students’ academic and sporting efforts. This time round, 15 12-year-olds and 15 13-year-olds were selected for the program. On top of that, as Official Global Partner of Manchester United, Manchester United legend Ronny Johnsen joined with Yanmar for the event, to encourage the kids on to greater efforts!

 

Many Thai families live in poverty and are in need of financial assistance. A facility such as this that provides an environment that encourages and supports children in their studies is greatly valued in the region. We look forward to supporting the aspirations of today’s youth and tomorrow’s future, towards realizing a more prosperous society for all.
