Manchester United, twenty-time winner of the English Premier League, with more than 650 million fans throughout the world, is one of the world’s top football clubs both on and off the pitch.
Since forming our own football team in 1957, Yanmar has shared the dreams, excitement, and passion that surrounds the football field. In order to communicate these fantastic values to a variety of people throughout the world, Yanmar signed a contract with Manchester United in 2012 to become their Global Partner.
In 2013, Yanmar sponsored the “Yanmar Premium Cup - Cerezo Osaka vs Manchester United”, at what was then known as Osaka Nagai Stadium. Shinji Kagawa (who now plays for Dortmund) was the focal point in this match with his triumphant return to Japan. Through the match, we were able to share the excitement of football not only with Japanese fans, but with football fans the world over.
Football is loved and enjoyed by people throughout the world, regardless of nationality, language, or race.
